OUR SERVICES
Handyman services London: repairs, fitting and improvements
A list of small jobs can be as disruptive as one larger repair. Our team works on individual tasks and groups of jobs in homes, rented properties and workplaces across London. We can discuss a shelf that needs mounting, a door that catches, flat-pack furniture waiting to be assembled or a room that needs updating. Tell us what is on your list, and we will help you establish which work can be combined into a visit.
Our handyman services London customers ask for include hanging and fitting, furniture assembly, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, decorating, tiling and flooring. Some work needs a closer look or a specialist trade; if so, we will discuss the next step before that work is arranged. We also handle enquiries for bathroom refurbishment and bespoke carpentry, where measurements, materials and the order of work matter as much as the final finish.

WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH
Work around the home, clearly organised

01
Blinds, curtains & wall fitting
We fit shelves, curtain poles, tracks, blinds and other fixtures. Before drilling, we need to understand the wall, the item’s weight and the desired position. We can discuss suitable fixings and any fittings you already have.

02
Furniture assembly
We assemble flat-pack beds, wardrobes, desks, cupboards and other furniture. Share the product link and number of items so we can plan the visit. Keep instructions, parts and fittings available and make room for the pieces to be laid out.

03
Plumbing & electrical jobs
We take enquiries for leaking taps, sinks and plumbing repairs, as well as lighting, sockets and other electrical work. Describe the fault and send a photograph where possible. We will discuss whether the job needs a visit or further assessment.

04
Painting, tiling & flooring
We prepare and decorate walls and woodwork, carry out tiling work and discuss flooring installation or repair. Let us know the room dimensions, existing surface and finish you want. If materials are already on site, tell us which products you have chosen.

REPAIRS & INSTALLATIONS
The details we need to do the job

Illustrative images created for this local design; they are not photographs of HSL projects.
Hanging, mounting and fitting
We install mirrors, shelves, blinds and curtain fittings, and we take enquiries for wall-mounted televisions. A photograph of the whole wall and another of the item or bracket help us understand the task. If you know whether the wall is masonry, plasterboard or another material, include that information; if you are unsure, tell us and we can discuss it. For a heavy mirror or television, send the approximate weight and dimensions as well as the product or bracket details.
The intended height and position matter. Please let us know about sockets, pipes or other features near the proposed fixing points. We will discuss the installation and what is accessible before work begins. See our mirror fitting, blinds fitting and TV installation services for more information.
Repairs, carpentry and appliance enquiries
We handle odd jobs such as door and cupboard adjustments, loose handles and small repairs. Our carpentry services include practical woodwork and shelving; bespoke storage can be discussed separately. For an appliance fault, include the make, model, the symptoms and any error message. We can then discuss the information needed and whether an assessment is appropriate. Please do not dismantle electrical appliances or attempt a repair to prepare for our visit.
Where a task involves plumbing or electrical systems, tell us what is happening and whether the service is currently in use. If there is an immediate safety concern, make the area safe and seek appropriate urgent assistance rather than waiting for a routine appointment. We will confirm the work to be undertaken before it starts.

A CLEAR WAY FORWARD
How we work
01
Tell us what needs doing
Call our team or use the enquiry form. List each job, the property postcode and a preferred date. Photos, dimensions and product links are useful, especially for fittings and furniture. If you have a deadline or restricted access, mention it when you contact us.
02
Discuss the work and price
We review the information and discuss the work, the likely time and any materials or access requirements. We may ask for more photographs or suggest that the job needs a closer look. We will explain the next step and discuss an estimate before you decide how to proceed.
03
Arrange the visit
Once the details are agreed, we arrange a suitable time. Tell us about parking, entry instructions, stairs or a lift, and whether someone needs to provide access. Confirm which materials or fittings you will supply and whether any product has to be delivered before the appointment.
04
Work through the list
At the property we review the agreed jobs and their positions with you. Our team carries out the work discussed for the visit. If we find something that changes the work, such as an unsuitable fixing surface or an additional repair, we discuss it with you before proceeding further.
PRICING
Understand the price before you book
Our existing price guide gives ranges for common jobs. The final cost depends on the work, the time involved, the materials and access to the property. A single repair may need different parts from another repair that looks similar, so the guide is a starting point rather than a fixed quote.
For an estimate, send us the complete list of jobs with photos and measurements. We will discuss what is included and whether materials are needed. Ask us to confirm VAT, any minimum charge, parking costs and who supplies the fittings before agreeing the appointment. If the work changes after inspection, we will discuss the additional work and price with you first.
| Example work | Published guide |
|---|---|
| Minor home repairs | £40–£120 |
| Flat-pack assembly | £40–£150 |
| Shelving and storage fitting | £60–£180 |
BEFORE YOUR VISIT
Prepare the space and the information

Make the work area accessible
Move smaller belongings away from the working area and provide enough space to reach the wall, furniture or fitting. For assembly, leave room to unpack the boxes and lay out the parts. Keep children and pets away from tools and the immediate work area. If a large item cannot be moved, mention it when booking so we can discuss access.
Have the agreed items ready
Keep product instructions, brackets, keys and any supplied parts together. If you have bought paint, tiles or other materials, tell us the product and quantity in advance. For a mounting job, let us know whether the bracket and fixings came with the item. Do not assume every supplied fixing is suitable for every wall; we can discuss the wall and fittings before installation.
Tell us about the property
Send the address and postcode through the booking channel and explain any entry arrangements, parking restrictions, stairs or lift limitations. If you are a tenant or managing the property for someone else, obtain any permission needed for the work. Let us know who will be present to agree positions and answer questions. This helps us plan an appointment around the actual conditions at the property.
When the job is more involved
A bathroom refurbishment, water-damaged surface or bespoke storage project may need measurements, a site visit or more than one stage of work. We discuss what can be assessed from your photographs and what needs to be checked in person. If other trades, specialist materials or additional preparation are necessary, we explain that before arranging the next step. For water damage, tell us whether the source has been identified and addressed before cosmetic repairs are considered.

What to prepare for the visit
| Before the appointment | What helps us plan | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Your job list | Describe each task and prioritise the important ones | We can discuss time and the order of work |
| Items and materials | Keep agreed products, instructions and parts together | The right items can be checked before work begins |
| Property access | Explain parking, entry, stairs and lifts | We can plan access for people, equipment and materials |
| The work area | Clear smaller belongings and make space around the job | Our team can reach the area and set out equipment |
We work in houses and flats, and take enquiries from landlords, tenants, offices and people managing properties. Tell us who will provide access and who can approve any changes. If your property is rented or managed, check permissions before arranging fittings or alterations. Our team serves London; share your postcode when you enquire so we can confirm availability for your address.
GOOD TO KNOW
Frequently asked questions
Can I book several small jobs in one visit?
Yes. Send us a complete list rather than describing only the first job. Include the number of items, photographs and your priorities. We will discuss the time and whether the combination can be arranged in one visit. If one task needs a different trade or a further assessment, we will explain that.
Do I need to buy the fittings or materials?
That depends on the job. Tell us what you have already purchased and share a product link or photographs. We will discuss who supplies the fittings and materials and confirm the arrangement before the visit. Keep any instructions and parts together.
Can you fit a television or a heavy mirror?
We take enquiries for both. Send the item size and approximate weight, the bracket or fixing details and clear photographs of the wall. Tell us the wall construction if you know it. We will discuss the proposed location and any additional information needed before confirming the work.
How is the estimate worked out?
We consider the tasks, likely time, materials and access. The published price ranges are a guide; the estimate for your job depends on its details. Ask us to confirm VAT, any minimum charge, parking and materials when discussing the price.
What if you discover extra work?
If the work needed is different from what we agreed, we discuss the finding and the options with you. Additional work and any change to the price should be agreed before proceeding. Some problems may need a separate visit or a specialist assessment.
What should I send when requesting a visit?
Include the postcode, a list of jobs, a few clear photographs, dimensions where relevant and your preferred dates. Product links are helpful for furniture, blinds and brackets. Mention parking, stairs, lifts and access restrictions so we can plan the visit.
How do I arrange an appointment?
Call 020 3404 3304 or use the request form on our existing website. We will discuss the jobs, the information needed and availability before arranging a visit. The online enquiry is a request; the appointment is confirmed with our team.
